We are currently building a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors to guide the Secunda Vita Foundation's strategic growth and ensure our programs achieve maximum impact. We are actively seeking candidates for volunteer board positions who share our vision and dedication to empowering transplant survivors.

Teague Mayfield

Teague is the visionary behind the Secunda Vita Foundation, a testament to resilience, the profound impact of organ donation, and the boundless potential of a second life.

His entrepreneurial spirit, honed over a decade of successfully creating, owning, and operating his catering company, Paella Bliss, uniquely positions him to lead this ambitious non-profit. This experience in building a vision from the ground up, coupled with his remarkable recovery and renewed purpose, fueled the creation of the Foundation.

As Founder,Executive Director and Board Chair, Teague leads the Foundation with a dedication rooted in his own experience.

This vital position will be filled by a leading medical professional, ideally within the transplant community (e.g., a transplant surgeon, hepatologist, nephrologist, or nurse coordinator). They will provide essential medical insight, ensure program safety protocols, and help bridge relationships with key healthcare institutions.

Medical Advisor
Maritime and Safety Specialist

Board Member 3 (open)

This individual will bring extensive sailing expertise, ideally with experience in offshore safety, instruction, or club management. They will advise on program design, vessel requirements, safety training, and help ensure all sailing activities are conducted to the highest standards.

Legal & Governance Expert

Board Member 4 (open)

This position requires someone with a strong background in non-profit law, governance, or finance. They will be instrumental in ensuring the Foundation's legal compliance, fiscal responsibility, and transparent operations as we grow.
